Taking the entire concept of that radiologist's office and virtualizing the entire thing. So that the radiologist can now take all of the hardware and all of the software that's needed to review a patient's data. And they can take that office and that workflow with them anywhere in the world with an internet connection. https://www.solvecast.com/articles/detail/29996-how-virtual-augmented-reality-can-impact-radiology-and-health-care-with-mike-wesolowski-ceo-at-luxsonic2021-08-07 -

VR is being applied in medical education, but in radiology medical education is on a mentor-mentee basis where a radiology resident sits in the same room. The trained radiologist and they learn from that trained radiologist, they watch them work. And that actually shut down because of COVID. And so trying to. Use the radiology workflow and with something like zoom or teams, it just doesn't work very well. So with our system, because we can connect multiple radiologists into the virtual space and they can actually feel like they're working together in, in a physical reading room. https://www.solvecast.com/articles/detail/29996-how-virtual-augmented-reality-can-impact-radiology-and-health-care-with-mike-wesolowski-ceo-at-luxsonic2021-08-07 -

Unfortunately, inequalities in the virtual realm have the potential to become far worse. VR companies could easily create more paywalls, preventing lower-income users from accessing better stores or even holding better virtual jobs. Technology companies therefore have the responsibility to create as fair an environment as possible, lest the virtual world become more cruel than the real world. https://vce.usc.edu/weekly-news-profile/the-inequality-of-virtual-reality/2021-09-28 -

The NIH has developed a new tool for looking at different viruses using a 3D headset. I got to try it out, and see what the flu virus really looks like. Walk through the molecule and see what the vulnerable places are, look at different varieties. So the idea is that instead of just telling your immune system to make something that attacks this seasonal flu, we would find something that’s in common to all the flu viruses, and attack that and then not have to give it every year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLIiez7Sbek2021-08-14 -

With virtual reality, we you know, we create fully digital worlds. And whether those worlds. You know, whether a golf course or a fantasy realm or a clinical environment, really, I think the big power of virtual reality is to provide presence within those environments. You really feel like you're experiencing that world. And that has a lot of power intuitively In a number of areas within medicine, whether that's medical education, training, or even healthcare delivery https://www.solvecast.com/articles/detail/29996-how-virtual-augmented-reality-can-impact-radiology-and-health-care-with-mike-wesolowski-ceo-at-luxsonic2021-08-07
